If you missed my last post, we started putting the house back together! 🙌🙌 It was really such a turning point in our DIY renovation we’ve got going on. If you’ve lived through a renovation before, you know that they are HARD work, and especially if you are doing the work yourselves, you know it takes a LONG time. We had a loose end goal of being done with everything by Christmas. We didn’t set a strict timeline (which I think was helpful not to be disappointed if we weren’t meeting deadlines), but as we got closer, the goal changed to having the floors done and furniture moved back in time to put up a Christmas tree.
Seeing the drywall up was definitely a huge victory. But we still had to tape, mud, sand, texture and paint before the floors could go in.
This guy wanted to help for a minute😉.
We stayed up late and worked weeknights after work so that we were ready to lay floors on the hubbys weekend off.
I have sooo much to say about our flooring choices and the process of installing them, but for now here’s a sneak peek!
It’s finally looking like a house again!
