Holy smokes was this not the longest room renovation ever?!! It sure feels that way! After we finally had a professional drywaller come in and finish up the exterior walls of baby girl’s room, I was able to *mostly* finish the entryway! Good enough to finally share some pics anyways!
But first, a quick look back at where we started. Drab, boring, basic.
So, I put up some board and batten and upgraded the trim around the door and window to a simple farmhouse style trim.
After the mayhem of filling nails, caulking, priming and painting, I added a pretty new light fixture using a super-easy adapter kit (no hard wiring!!)
Then things got crazy and I built a church pew!
Which brings us to where we’re at today. Ok so now that we’re all caught up, ready for some more pics??
I am in looove with these hooks from Ikea. I had a friend grab them for me since our closest ikea is 3 1/2 hours away. But I had searched high and low for something similar around here, and nothing could compare. I’m so glad I waited these out!
I’m the decor on these hooks will change up frequently like everything else in my house, but for now I’ve got some boxwood, this cute frame my son made and we turned into a chalkboard, a fun bag that my sister brought me while she was living in Cambodia, and a sunhat I grab when I head out to the garden.
I’ve seen this little saying on so many signs lately, and I just had to have one for my house. I made this one, I’ll have to write a post on that soon!
My sweet hubby came home from work one day with these awesome burlap coffee sacks. They’ve been sitting in our garage for almost 2 years now, I had no clue what to do with them! A lightbulb finally went off one day that they would make great pillow covers, so here they are!
The evening light when this light fixture is on is just amazing. Also, I had been wanting to paint my door for the longest time, and I finally just went for it. The color is BM Wrought Iron, mixed in Behr paint. It took me seriously 20 minutes and has held up amazing already. I’m kicking myself for not doing it sooner!
So there you have it. Now to decide what’s next on my list. Laundry room, guest bath, or build furniture for my living room? I’ll probably work on all three at once!
